  • Madison Jaschke

    Madison is an urban farmer and workshop educator who is dedicated to inspiring youth and families to connect with nature and grow long-lasting relationships with food and local ecosystems.

  • Stephanie Gomez

    Stephanie Gomez, the Co-Founder and Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Shift Our Ways Collective, is passionate about sustainability and positive impact. With expertise in digital storytelling, she aims to collaborate with purpose-driven organizations to drive meaningful change. Stephanie has successfully transformed a backyard into a thriving farm, cultivated an engaged online community, and established strategic partnerships. She also serves as a Program Assistant at LA Compost, championing composting initiatives and educating the community on sustainable practices.

  • Prathibha "Sewwi" Madigapola-Liberty

    Sewwi began her journey in education as a nature educator, instilling a love for the environment and its stewardship in her students. With eight years of experience in the classroom, Sewwi has now transitioned to owning her own educational consulting firm, Learn with Ms. M., where she specializes in supporting neurodiverse students in their academic endeavors. Passionate about food sovereignty and community empowerment, Sewwi is dedicated to fostering relationships among individuals and businesses within their local sphere. Through her work, she advocates for inclusivity and collaboration, striving to create a supportive network that empowers all students to succeed.

  • Haley Feng

    Haley Feng, an Associate Project Manager at Thomas Safran & Associates, is dedicated to creating opportunities through housing. She serves as a Commissioner for the West Los Angeles Area Planning Commission and a Board Member at Abundant Housing LA. With experience in communications, digital advocacy, and research, Haley continues to make a positive impact in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

  • Katherine Jernigan

    Katherine is an educator and food justice advocate with a background in food systems and sustainable agriculture. She has grown food and worked with farmers for more than 10 years. Katherine is a relationship builder and collaborator focused on bringing people with diverse backgrounds and specialties together to achieve common goals.

  • Andreas G.

    Andreas is a UC Master Gardener, agroecology educator, horticulturalist of 13 years, and father who disseminates knowledge about low cost, sustainable, DIY urban gardening techniques as The Solarpunk Farmer. He aims to cultivate food sovereignty and foster biodiversity-restoring, soil-healing, climate-resilient, independent local food systems through the teaching of practical natural farming skills to budding horticulturalists of all ages. Andreas teaches locally through his collaborations with Shift Our Ways, EnrichLA, and CSUN's Marilyn Magaram Center - and online through his social media accounts and Zoom courses.

  • Connie Borja

    Connie Borja, a first-generation American, overcame homelessness and became the first in her family to graduate college. She discovered Shift Our Ways (SOW) during the pandemic, which cultivated her love for the outdoors and passion for community advocacy. Connie has participated in the LA Repair program, serves on the Board for the Child Care Resource Center, and successfully advocated for a $1 million federal grant for the Arleta sidewalk Woodman project, exemplifying her commitment to building better bridges in her community.

  • Leonora Camner

    Leonora Camner is Executive Director of Climate Safe Villages, which fosters climate change resilient, sustainable communities worldwide. Through mutual support, shared education, best practice models, and continual learning, CSV advances a sustainable and resilient future. She is the former Executive Director of Abundant Housing LA, a pro-housing organization, and a former Santa Monica Housing Commissioner. She is currently the Executive Director of Democracy without Elections. Leonora is a mom of two girls. Previously, she was an attorney working in the non-profit sector to defend tenants from eviction.
