  • Food systems and Sustainable Agriculture

My name is Katherine and I’m a Master Gardener, home cook, and farmer advocate. My professional background is as an environmental and food educator. I love teaching people to grow their own food and cook delicious meals. After years of working on urban farms and in school gardens, I transitioned to working with rural farmers who are exiting industrial animal agriculture. I'm currently the farmer outreach manager for the Transfarmation Project. My job is to help farmers enter more sustainable, plant-focused farming and create businesses that can regenerate their land and support their families.

I have a background in food systems and sustainable agriculture, and have grown food and worked with farmers for more than 10 years. I hold a BA in environmental studies and am currently pursuing a dual MBA and M.S. in sustainable food systems. Overall, I'm a relationship builder and collaborator focused on bringing people with diverse backgrounds and specialties together to achieve common goals.
